Hair & Makeup
Finland native, Jukka Suutari began his career in the world of dance. A dancer himself, he began doing hair for dance and theatre productions. As his love for hair grew, he began working in salons, eventually running his own successful hair studio in Finland. Jukka then followed his dreams to Canada where he studied the world of makeup. Combining his extensive knowledge of hair with the world of makeup, he began working in fashion, film and television.
Jukka has worked with a number of clients over career including, Tiffany's, Birks, Air Canada, Vince Camuto, HBC, Winners, Dove, Crest, Mastercard, Walmart, RW&CO & Marc Anthony Hair Care. He has also worked for MAC Cosmetics in both New York & Toronto doing everything from wig building to hair tutorials for marketing campaigns and working runway shows during New York Fashion Week.
Jukka has also worked with a number of high profile celebrities including Beanie Feldstein, Annie Murphy, Dan Levy, Elle Macpherson, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Coco Rocha, Michelle Visage, Michael J. Fox, Jennifer Beal, Kristi Yamaguchi, Sarain Fox, Cobie Smulders, Shenae Grimes-Beech, Melissa O'Neil, Aisha Tyler, and Brandon Flowers from The Killers.
Jukka's talent has also been seen on TV for series including The Great Canadian Baking Show, Canada's Next Top Model, Canada's Got Talent, Battle of the Blades and most proudly on Canada's Drag Race and Canada's Drag Race Canada Vs. The World where he has worked on both Drag Queen Brooke Lynn Heights and Judge and Fashion Expert Brad Goreski.
His meticulous and inspiring work has appeared in Photo France, FLAUNT, Studio Italy, Tribu-Te Paris, 1986 Magazine, Dauphine, Flare, The Kit and Dress To Kill as well as over twenty industry magazines around the world.
Known for his innovative, calm, and professional demeanour, Jukka loves the process of bringing a creative vision to life. His European background and extensive world travels give him a cosmopolitan edge, making his work both creative and dynamic.
