Jukka Hair & Makeup
After running his own hair studio in his native Finland, he followed his dream to study makeup and its diverse areas including fashion, film, theatre, television and special effects. Known for his innovative, calm, and professional demeanour, Jukka loves the process of bringing creative visions to life. His European heritage and extensive world travels give him a cosmopolitan edge, making his work both creative and dynamic.
When he was a dancer he also worked on dancer's hair, understanding how hair needed to move. This experience helped him when working on the "Battle of the Baldes" set.
Working with wigs caught the eye of MAC Cosmetics Canada. Jukka now works with MAC in New York and Toronto doing everything from wig building for installations to putting tutorials together on hair looks for marketing campaigns as well as working at NY fashion week. One of his highlights was building a wig for MILK of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' for an event because her personal wig got distroyed.
However, Jukka is not just a hair stylist, he is a fantastic
makeup artist as well and has accumulated a wide range of clients including Tiffany's, Birks, Air Canada, Vince Camuto, Hudson Bay Company, Party City, Winners, Canadian Living, Loews, and Dove. He has also worked with such celebrities as Elle Macpherson, Jennifer Beals, Michael J. Fox, Aisha Tyler, Coco Rocha, Brandon Flowers, Ziyi Zhang, Kristi Yamaguchi, Cobie Smulders, Shenae Grimes-Beech and Melissa O'Neil.

Jukka's meticulous, inspired and stunning work appears in Photo France, a French professional magazine for photographers where his editorial hair and makeup won first place for fashion photography. His artistry has also been featured in editorials for FLAUNT, Studio Italy, Tribu-Te Paris, 1986 Magazine, Dauphine, Flare, The Kit, Vulkan Magazine and Dress To Kill as well as over twenty hair industry magazines around the world.
Jukka has worked all over the world, most recently he has worked extensively in the North American markets including, Miami, Seattle, Vancouver, Dallas, New York, Washington to name a few cities.
