Chad Burton
Fashion Stylist
Chad Burton is a multi-disciplinary stylist based in Toronto, Canada. Before landing in Toronto in 2013, Chad got his start in the fashion world while living in Seoul, South Korea where he moved to shortly after graduating. Inspired by the fast pace, bright lights and underground sub-cultures found in the city, he started documenting the street fashion and night life of Seoul for a personal website. He was soon invited to document behind the scenes at Seoul Fashion Week and the catalyst for his styling career was born. After six years in Seoul, Chad then crossed the pond to London, England where he lived for two years working as Fashion Editor for both 1883 Magazine and Boys by Girls Magazine and had the pleasure to style the likes of Nicholas Hoult, Vanessa Kirby, Sophie Turner and Michael Shannon.
Chad has combined his background in Visual Communications with his love of fashion and design to build a career working with clients such as Holt Renfrew, SSENSE, Nike, Aldo, Shoppers Drug Mart, Harry Rosen, Volkswagen and many more. He finds inspiration to pursue everything from prop hunting and set building to beauty smears and product styling, as well as all things fashion in a range of mediums including editorial, music video, commercial, red carpet styling and more recently art direction. Chad is unabashedly unafraid of color and texture and finds inspiration in everything from his worldly travels to frequent thrift store treasure hunts. He favours a high-low mix of luxury goods and vintage finds and is a passionate supporter of local designers. His work as an off-figure and prop stylist allows him to experience another side of the fashion world and is often hired by clients to combine these two areas to deliver both on and off-figure work.
2021 saw Chad expand his styling career to include red carpet looks sourced for actress Devery Jacobs, art direction of Hestia's fall/winter jewelry campaign, working with local brand Dorian Who to flesh out her latest collection into an immersive lookbook, as well as styling the advertising for The Kids in The Hall reboot on Amazon Prime.
